MATHEMATICS 

​Landsborough Primary School timetables 2 hours each day to undertake the teaching and learning of Mathematics. The mathematics curriculum (what will be taught and when) was developed within the Pyrnees Cluster and means that every cluster school is teaching the same mathematical unit each week, allowing for improved planning and content knowledge for the teachers, and more explicit teaching and practice time for the students.

We don’t use a maths textbook but instead develop activities, both individual and group, that are suitable for each student. We always ensure there is explicit teaching time built into each mathematics lesson and allot time for students to practice their mental maths skills.
